today's wedding is a special one! in march of this year, my cousin bridget flew all the way back from her life in australia (along with her man) to marry in toronto's distillery district. a small affair, the guest list was limited to mostly family and a few close friends and i had the honour of shooting one very intimate day. not only was it lovely to get to see bridget after having not for quite some time, it was wonderful to be there to capture all the moments of the biggest day of her life. warning: there might be a lot of photos...?
the fun started at my uncle and aunt's place where there was plenty of girl-talk and catching up amongst the makeup and the flower crowns. (and my cousin brianna, the maid-of-honour and sister to the bride, also had her two adorable children in tow and it definitely made for many a cuuute scene.) from there we ladies made a quick pit stop by the lake for a few snaps then got our frozen-selves to the ceremony just in time. full of emotions, the 'i do's' were beautiful and i could be found wiping back a few tears behind my lens. the love that these two share is b-i-g and it shows in the romance that they exude just standing next to each other. (*sigh*) the evening was spent sipping on champagne and dancing the night away - the perfect way to cap off this dreamy day...
can't wait to see you guys again real soon.
ps: a few shots of family are okay, right?
my mom & dad, my uncle dave & aunt debbie,
cousins jessica, karen & jon, and my brother and his lady, liz.
too much fun. :)
